The Plan contains strategies to increase visitor numbers and increase spending in the region per visit by continually improving service standards in the industry, upgrading and expanding tourism experiences, improving infrastructure, optimising marketing and promotional opportunities, identifying and targeting high yielding visitors and encouraging visitors to stay longer.

Flinders Ranges & Outback Integrated Strategic Tourism Plan

The primary purpose of the Flinders Ranges & Outback Integrated Strategic Plan is twofold. Firstly, to increase the level of expenditure by those already visiting the region by providing additional and enhanced products and services they will be willing to pay more for. Secondly, to increase the number of visitors to the region by addressing current gaps in transport, products and service and targeting marketing initiatives to those markets most likely to find that the Flinders Ranges and Outback SA offers what they are looking for.

Murraylands Integrated Regional Strategic Tourism Plan

Key regional stakeholders led the development of the Murraylands Integrated Strategic Tourism Plan via a steering committee, understanding and highlighting the significance of tourism to the future of this region. The Plan will provide the Murraylands with an innovative and strategic policy and planning, and critical framework that will help attract and grow investment and build capacity in sustainable tourism within the region.

Adelaide Hills Tourism Plan

The Adelaide Hills Regional Tourism Strategic Plan is being developed as a collaborative initiative between South Australian Tourism Commission, Adelaide Hills Tourism, Adelaide Hills Council, District Council of Mount Barker, and Regional Development Australia. The development of the Plan is being led by a Steering Group comprising representatives of the above agencies, with specialist and technical input along the way as required.
